Overview
The iSA1500 Storage Array is a feature rich, high density
iSCSI storage solution designed for small businesses and remote
offices looking for a cost-effective shared storage solution.
It operates over standard Ethernet infrastructures, making
it an extremely cost-effective solution. Ethernet-based storage
area networks (SAN) are easy to configure using software and/or
high performance hardware initiators using existing network
management skill sets. The iSA1500 is also an ideal solution
for flexible point-to-point configurations.

Storage Management Made Easy
Management of the iSA1500 Storage Array is made available via the
Storage Manager™ GUI, offering both in-band and out-of-band
storage management. Available remote management and event notification
(via email and pager) improves storage monitoring and maintenance,
contributing to increased storage uptime and lower management costs.
Automated storage provisioning simplifies the configuration of storage
volumes allowing IT managers to create, assign, and expand storage
volumes from a single management interface. Manual configuration
of initiators is eliminated via the Windows® management agent,
which automates server configuration and access control*.
High Density, Highly Available Storage
The iSA1500 storage enclosure comes with four hot-swappable SATA
disk drives with up to 1 TByte of available capacity in an efficient
1U form factor. Advanced user-configurable RAID levels improve data
protection and accessibility. Storage security is enhanced via the
supported IPSec and Encryption Services.
Advanced Software Functionality
The expansive feature set of the iSA1500 makes it ideal for server
storage consolidation, disk to disk backup, and disaster recovery
applications. The point-in-time snapshot and rollback functionality
can be used with third party backup applications for data archiving
or for rapid data recovery. Synchronous mirroring, either locally
or remote, can be enabled as an optional software key upgrade.
Industry-Leading Compatibility and Support
The iSA1500 Storage Array is backed by a 3-year warranty. Adaptec
also provides technical phone support. Expanded service plans are
also available to ensure trouble free maintenance. Extensive testing
ensures interoperability with industry leading software and hardware
components to deliver pain free installation and continued service
life. All of these value added features provide an exceptional customer
experience.
